The landscape vision for Kriya Bloomfield is shaped by the idea of creating a soft, organic counterpoint to a highly structured plotted development. As an extension of the Tattva School campus in Kumbalgodu, the project responds to two major site constraints; a high-tension transmission line and a nala cutting across the property and transforms them into defining elements of the design narrative. Rather than allowing these conditions to limit the project, the landscape uses them as opportunities to introduce ecological character, flowing spatial experiences, and a distinct identity rooted in nature.

A key design principle was to contrast the rigid geometry of the plots, which were planned as clean rectangles, with a landscape language that is free-flowing, curvilinear, and expressive. This is reflected in every layer of the open space design from meandering pathways and organic seating edges to fluid shading structures and sculpted planting forms. The images capture this intent through looping walkways, circular gathering zones, lush green buffers, and softly contoured garden spaces that create a more relaxed and immersive experience within the planned layout. The result is a landscape that feels natural, welcoming, and visually dynamic against the orderliness of the plotted masterplan.

The nala was reimagined not as a challenge, but as an opportunity to bring a stronger water-sensitive character to the landscape. It helps anchor the open spaces and reinforces the sense of ecological flow across the site. Similarly, the land beneath the high-tension line was carefully utilized with controlled-access, low-risk amenities such as a green buffer and maze garden, turning an otherwise restricted zone into a safe and engaging recreational landscape. These spaces add both functional and visual value while responding responsibly to site limitations.

The streetscape strategy was equally important in shaping the experience of the development. Roads were designed to appear visually wider and more generous, with the footpath kept at the same level as the carriageway to create a seamless shared-edge character. By pushing the planting buffer closer to the plot line, the street is able to accommodate informal parking without compromising movement or openness. Together, the planning and landscape approach create a premium plotted community where efficiency, softness, and site responsiveness work in harmony transforming constraints into a memorable and beautifully integrated environment.
